AI Patient Simulation Labs

For healthcare globally, the lack of patient interaction time for nursing students is a problem. This 2020 study outlined the very serious issues that are faced in healthcare training. One of the solutions that is discussed is the creation of simulation labs that give students the chance to interact with patients. This is what VictoryXR has been working on, and today, we are proud to announce we have finished a project that was 18 months in the making: the VXR Patient Simulation Labs!

What is it?

  1. The simulation lab includes 50 conversational AI patients with symptoms specific to various medical disciplines. 
  2. The patient profiles were created by a nurse practitioner in the United States, using her 25 years experience in the clinic to best create typical (and in some cases, atypical) patients who come into the clinic on a regular basis.
  3. Patients describe their symptoms, but it falls to the nurse or medical professional to ask the right questions to make a determination of the best next steps. 
  4. These fifty patients include the 12 specialties of: neurology, cardiovascular medicine, pulmonology, infectious diseases, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, urology, rheumatology, endocrinology, dermatology, OBGYN, and ENT. 
  5. The patients are accessible through a Chrome or Safari browser on any computer. A VictoryXR subscription is required.
